Illinois Route 66 Road Trip (IL-66 Road Trip) is an interactive video-driven user experience that allows users to explore historical Route 66 within the state of Illinois.
IL-66 Road Trip is innovative, in that it is a video experience that is truly interactive. Unlike the abundance of static Route 66 related websites, IL-66 Road Trip offers the user the ability to take a video road trip, along the way the user can interact with many attractions, points of interest, and landmarks to uncover historical facts.
The user will also experience a passage of time while embarking on the road trip. The IL-66 Road Trip videos will be composited digital matte paintings depicting towns and cities along the route beginning in Chicago in 1927, when Route 66 was born, to the present day along the shore of the mighty Mississippi river.
